CHAIRMAN OF WEXHAM COURT PARISH COUNCIL

COUNCILLOR CARL EGAN

At the Meeting of Council on 8th November, 2011, a new Chairman was elected by the Parish Councillors to serve for the remainder of the current municipal year.  Councillor Carl Egan is our youngest ever Chairman, having signed his Declaration of Acceptance of Office at just 29 years of age, but he is happy to take on the role having been a Member since August 2009.

Councillor Dave Davies stood down from his 5-year role as Chairman, having agreed to serve the first six months of the current year following the local elections in May.  As the longest-serving Member of the Parish Council, Dave remains an active Councillor for the time being and fulfils a vital advisory role to the benefit of his fellow Members and the Officers.

Carl's first formal Civic Event was to attend the Mayor's Christmas Celebration on the 9th December, at which he was accompanied by me as Clerk.  This proved to be a very busy evening as we then had to rush back to Wexham to also attend the Parish Council's Annual Christmas Charity Fundraising Event (details of which can be found by navigating from our Site Index to the relevant page on the section entitled 'The Services We Provide').

I would like to wish Carl every success in his role, both as Chairman and established Council Member.
